STEFAN JAGER – Painting Art Symposium

The opening of the painting exhibition will take place on Saturday, August 8, at 6 pm, at the Helios Gallery in Timișoara. The exhibited works are made between July 15-24, in Jimbolia, by 11 artists from Romania and Lithuania.

The curators of the symposium, Costin Brăteanu and Tar Béla, also participate as artists, along with Traian Abruda, Sorin Bijan, Dan Ianoș, Marcel Lupșe, Sarah Raluca Miulescu, Vasile Pintea, Valeriu Sepi, Angela Szabo and Anna Vostruchovaité.

The best two works will be donated to the organizers, namely the Blythswood Banat Association and Jimbolia City Hall.

Now in its eighth edition, the international visual creation camp “Ştefan Jager” promotes art through collaboration and exchange of ideas. Ștefan Jäger (May 31, 1877, Cena – March 16, 1962, Jimbolia) is considered one of the most important artists of Banat at the beginning of the twentieth century. His paintings that describe the history, life, traditions and customs of the Swabians from Banat.
